Position Overview
Role: Legal Associate
Location: Delhi / Hyderabad
Experience: 2–4 Years (Post-Qualification)
Reporting To: VP – Legal
This position is best suited for candidates with law firm or in-house transaction experience, particularly in investment, restructuring, or special situation mandates.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate transaction and commercial agreements including debenture trust deeds, investment agreements, settlement agreements, and security documents
Assist in structuring and executing special situation/distressed asset transactions and AIF deals
Support IBC matters: coordinate with counsel, review pleadings, and monitor litigation status
Conduct legal due diligence and prepare risk assessment summaries
Liaise with external counsels, consultants, and regulatory authorities
Provide legal support on corporate governance, compliance, and portfolio company documentation
Maintain internal trackers, transaction files, and legal notes
Desired Profile
LL.B. from a reputed institution
2–4 years of relevant experience, ideally from a law firm handling investment, banking, or restructuring mandates
Strong understanding of Companies Act, Contract Law, and IBC
Exposure to Special Opportunities Funds, AIFs, or distressed asset investors (preferred)
Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
