Lex Corp is looking to immediately onboard two Legal Associates for its South Extension office:
Post Practice Area Required Experience
Legal Associate – Litigation Company-law / Commercial Litigation / NCLT-matters 3–4 years PQE
Legal Associate – Arbitration Arbitration & Dispute-Resolution matters 3–4 years PQE
Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
For Litigation (NCLT / Commercial Litigation) Associate:
Manage litigation before tribunals and courts, especially company-law and commercial disputes under NCLT / NCLAT / relevant fora.
Draft pleadings, petitions, replies, written submissions, affidavits, and legal notices; prepare case strategies.
Conduct in-depth legal research, prepare legal opinions, case-histories, and coordinate all aspects of trial or tribunal-related work (filings, document management, hearings).
For Arbitration Associate:
Handle arbitration matters — domestic or institutional — independently or under guidance; draft statements of claim/defence, counterclaims, rejoinders, pleadings, arbitration agreements, and related contracts.
Perform legal research, draft briefs and documents, coordinate with clients, external counsels and arbitral tribunals; maintain case records and follow-up strategies.
Engage in client-communication, negotiation, compliance, and manage all phases of arbitration proceedings — from filing to award/enforcement.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
Qualification: LL.B from recognized university, enrolled with Bar Council (as applicable)
PQE: 3–4 years post-qualification experience in relevant field (litigation or arbitration)
Experience Required:
For Litigation role: solid background in company-law and NCLT/tribunal litigation
For Arbitration role: prior arbitration/dispute-resolution experience mandatory, with strong track record in drafting & tribunal work.
Skills:
Excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical skills
Strong command over procedural laws, corporate/commercial law, and arbitration laws
Good communication and client-management skills
Ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously, maintain deadlines and documentation
