About the Firm
Counselect is working with a leading beverage-manufacturing company in Hyderabad to onboard a legal professional for a one-year secondment. This is a generalist in-house counsel role — perfect for someone with a few years of post-qualification experience looking to transition into a company-side role in the FMCG/industry sector.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be expected to handle a broad range of legal matters, including:
Litigation management — oversee and coordinate ongoing disputes and litigation for the company
Contract management — draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts and agreements
Regulatory & statutory compliance — ensure company’s operations comply with applicable laws and industry regulations
Support sales and business functions across regions — advise on legal aspects of business operations, contracts, agreements, and compliance
General corporate advisory — provide legal support for corporate matters, internal governance, and risk mitigation
This mirrors the typical role of in-house corporate counsel: monitoring compliance, drafting contracts, and providing legal advice to safeguard business operations.
Who Should Apply
We are looking for a candidate who:
Has 3–5 years post-qualification experience, whether in a law firm or in-house role
Has experience in corporate, commercial, and litigation matters
Ideally has prior exposure to FMCG, manufacturing, or similar regulated industries — this helps given the compliance and regulatory demands of the sector
Has strong communication, drafting, and case-management skills
Familiarity with Telugu or a South-Indian language will be advantageous, given regional operations
