Position: Associate & Senior Associate (Corporate Law)

Location: New Delhi
Employment Type: Full‑time | On‑site

Sarvaank Associates is expanding its Corporate practice and is inviting applications for the positions of Associate (1–3 years PQE) and Senior Associate (3–5 years PQE), depending on experience.


Role Overview

The selected candidates will work closely with clients, including founders, investors, private equity and VC funds, and other stakeholders, handling a broad range of corporate and transactional matters. This is an opportunity for lawyers seeking high‑quality deal exposure and substantive corporate legal work in a dynamic practice.


Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate investment documents, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, and other transaction‑related documentation.

Conduct in‑depth legal research on corporate, regulatory, and data privacy frameworks.

Provide advice on private equity, venture capital, and M&A transactions.

Assist with legal due diligence, transaction structuring, and regulatory compliance for clients including high‑growth companies and investors.

Manage client communications and deliver strategic legal solutions across different stages of the business cycle.


Qualifications & Experience

LL.B. from a recognised law school; LL.M. or corporate/commercial law specialisation is an advantage.

For Associate: 1–3 years of relevant corporate law experience.

For Senior Associate: 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Mandatory law firm experience supporting corporate and transactional matters.

Strong understanding of corporate law frameworks, including the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and general commercial laws.

Demonstrable experience in drafting and negotiating transaction documents such as SHA, SSA, SPA, term sheets, and commercial agreements.

Experience assisting with due diligence, transaction structuring, and compliance.

Familiarity with the start‑up ecosystem, cap tables, ESOPs, and fund investments is preferred.

Excellent legal research, analytical, and client‑handling skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment.
