About the Job:

VCounsel is looking for a motivated and experienced Legal Consultant to join their in-office team in Aundh, Pune. This role requires a candidate who can hit the ground running, with a strong emphasis on technology contracts, data privacy, and AI-related regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of working independently and possesses a sharp ability to understand and apply legal principles to cutting-edge technology concepts.

Eligibility:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrated ability to grasp technology concepts, specifically Artificial Intelligence (AI), quickly.
• Proven experience working independently without the need for micro-management.
• In-depth understanding of Technology and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) contracts, including drafting and review.
• Knowledge of the AI regulatory landscape in India and the US.
• Familiarity with Data Privacy aspects related to SaaS, covering both Indian and US jurisdictions.Strong foundation in General Corporate Commercial law and Vendor Contracts.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of Technology and SaaS contracts.

• Providing legal advice on AI-related regulatory frameworks, specifically concerning Indian and US laws.

• Advising on data privacy implications and compliance for SaaS operations in India and the US.

• Handling general corporate commercial matters and various vendor contracts.

• Staying abreast of the latest developments in technology law, AI regulations, and data privacy to provide proactive legal counsel.

• Working autonomously to manage tasks and deliver high-quality legal support to the firm.

Duration:

This is a full-time, permanent position based at the VCounsel office.
