About the Role
Arnava Legal is expanding its team and invites applications for an Associate to join its Data Privacy & Technology Law practice. The firm is looking for someone with demonstrable familiarity with privacy laws, data governance, or digital-policy work — whether from consulting, compliance teams, think-tanks, academic research, or internships.
This role offers a fast transition into a law-firm privacy practice, with immediate responsibility for real client mandates.
What You Should Bring (and Be Able to Do)
Working familiarity with data-privacy or technology-regulation frameworks (Indian or international), including the DPDPA.
Ability to read, interpret and apply statutory/regulatory provisions — understand data flows, privacy obligations, compliance requirements — from day one.
Proven research and drafting skills, especially in legal/regulatory contexts.
Capacity to provide practical, commercially aware advice to clients (startups, businesses) on privacy compliance, data governance, risk assessment, regulatory filings, etc.
Optionally, background in consulting, compliance, academics or policy research — demonstrated understanding of tech/business contexts is a plus.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to adapt to evolving law and technology landscape.
