Position: Associate (Full-Time, On-site)
Work Location: New Delhi office
Eligibility: Law Graduate (LL.B.) or equivalent qualification; prior experience in relevant practice areas will be an advantage
What the Role Involves
As an Associate at AKJ Law Associates, the candidate will:
Undertake legal research across diverse matters including corporate law, litigation, regulatory offences, and real-estate due diligence.
Assist in corporate due diligence, transactional documentation, and vetting of agreements and contracts.
Draft and vet legal pleadings, contracts, opinions, notices, and other statutory documents with clarity and precision.
Support litigation and dispute-resolution matters — from case preparation to court filings / tribunal submissions (as applicable).
Interact with clients, manage case-files, and coordinate between internal teams to ensure timely and compliant legal advice.
Work with dedication and flexibility, prepared to take responsibility and deliver results, including during busy periods or tight timelines.
Candidate Profile & Skills Required
The ideal candidate should possess:
Strong understanding of Indian laws and legal procedures, across corporate, commercial, civil or criminal law branches.
Excellent research, analytical, and drafting skills; ability to produce accurate, well-structured legal documents.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, to liaise with clients, regulators, and internal team members.
Attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
Collaborative spirit — able to work independently when required, but also as part of a team.
Prior exposure or experience in any of AKJ’s practice areas (corporate law, real-estate, forensic audits, litigation, insolvency, etc.) will be an advantage.
