Role Overview

Macwise Group is seeking a Junior Legal Associate to join its Mumbai office. This full-time, in-office position is designed for recent graduates or early-career lawyers looking to gain practical exposure to corporate, commercial, and international legal matters. The role offers direct involvement in drafting, research, coordination, and live transaction support.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and revise corporate and commercial agreements, including NDAs, MOUs, LOIs, vendor and service agreements, shareholders’ agreements, distribution and supply contracts, and related documentation

Support negotiations and assist in transaction execution

Conduct legal research on corporate, regulatory, and cross-border issues across multiple jurisdictions

Maintain trackers, documentation, and execution records to ensure timely coordination

Work extensively with MS Word and Excel for documentation and internal systems

Identify risks, flag issues proactively, and manage assigned matters independently

Provide regular updates to the Legal Head and coordinate with internal business teams

Eligibility Criteria

Law graduate or lawyer with 0–12 months PQE

Strong drafting, research, and organisational skills

Comfortable in a fast-paced, in-office environment

Interest in corporate, commercial, and international legal practice

Familiarity with the UAE legal framework is advantageous but not mandatory
