Position: Legal Associate
Experience: 0–1 years post-qualification (internships welcomed)
Qualification: JD or LL.B (fresh graduate or recently qualified)
Location: Flexible / Remote-friendly (depending on candidate suitability and firm policy)
What You’ll Work On
As Associate at FinStackk Legal, you will:
Assist U.S. startups, SMEs, and founders — and businesses expanding to the U.S. — in legal structuring, corporate governance, and compliance work.
Support cross-border structuring, including Indian and U.S. entities, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) transactions (when applicable).
Draft and review contracts and legal documents: Investment Agreements, Co-Founder Agreements, ESOP documents, Employment and Service Agreements, IP Agreements, etc.
Provide compliance advisory to ensure operations conform with relevant Indian (e.g. FEMA, RBI) and U.S. regulations — especially in cross-jurisdictional business expansions.
Work with internal tech teams to integrate legal processes into the firm’s platform approach for smooth service delivery.
Who Should Apply / Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate who:
Has a JD or LL.B degree — recent graduates welcome
Demonstrates strong research and drafting skills
Has an interest in U.S. corporate law, startups, and cross-border legal practice
Is open to learning regulatory frameworks including FEMA / RBI rules (Indian side) and U.S. corporate compliance requirements — familiarity is a bonus, not mandatory
Has good communication, time-management, and analytical skills — essential for handling international clients and complex documentation
