Position: Senior Litigation Associate

Experience Required: 5–7 years post-qualification experience in active litigation

Location: New Delhi (on-site)

Employment Type: Full-time, litigation practice


Role Overview

The Senior Litigation Associate will be responsible for handling a broad spectrum of litigation work, including but not limited to:

Drafting legal motions, petitions, affidavits and other court filings with precision and adherence to procedural requirements.

Conducting legal research on statutes, precedents and complex case law to support litigation strategy.

Preparing for depositions and discovery processes, including compiling evidence and briefing senior counsel.

Representing clients in court proceedings and coordinating hearings with judges, tribunals, or quasi-judicial authorities.

Managing multiple cases efficiently while ensuring meticulous attention to detail in legal documents and strategic outcomes.

Collaborating with clients and other stakeholders to develop effective litigation approaches and maintain strong professional relationships.

This role requires a blend of substantive litigation skills and strategic courtroom readiness — qualities expected of seasoned litigation professionals working on high-stakes matters.


Qualifications & Skills Required

LL.B. degree from a recognised university; LL.M. or advanced specialisation is an advantage.

5–7 years’ post-qualification experience in active litigation, preferably in commercial, corporate or civil disputes.

Strong expertise in legal drafting, including petitions, written submissions, replies and legal notices.

Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret legal precedents and statutory provisions.

In-depth experience with depositions, pre-trial processes and courtroom procedures.

Sound understanding of court systems and ability to represent clients effectively in judicial forums.

Capacity to manage multiple matters simultaneously with accuracy, professionalism and adherence to deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, counsel, and tribunal authorities.

Prior experience in corporate or commercial litigation is highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage.


Remuneration

Remuneration for this position will be offered as per industry standards, commensurate with experience, skills and performance expectations.
