About the Opportunity
Cognizant, a global leader in technology and professional services, is looking for a qualified In-House Counsel to join its legal team in Hyderabad. Key Responsibilities
Support the procurement team with contract management and related legal expertise.
Review, draft, and negotiate RFPs, RFQs, NDAs, and MSAs.
Ensure compliance with legal principles applicable in India and the USA.
Collaborate closely with the Legal Department and senior business stakeholders.
Utilize tools such as IronClad, LinkSquares, Zip, Workday, or other relevant CLM/procurement systems.
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Law Degree (LLB or equivalent) with strong academic credentials.
Minimum 3 years of legal or industry experience as a contracts manager or in-house counsel.
Solid understanding of contract law, negotiation principles, and risk assessment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage cross-cultural collaborations.
Experience working in a fast-paced, global corporate environment.
Technologically proficient and adaptable to new legal tools and systems.
Desirable
Prior in-house experience in a large organization or MNC.
Background in strategic sourcing or procurement legal support.
