About the Job:
Laws and Legals is inviting applications from dedicated legal professionals to join its team for the upcoming English Legal News Project. Multiple positions are available for candidates passionate about legal journalism, court reporting, and legal research. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to cover significant judicial developments and contribute to a growing legal news platform. Please note that all positions are in-office and based at the respective High Court locations.

Open Positions:

• Legal News Consultant (English)
• Legal Intern (English – Legal Reporting & Research)
• Legal Correspondent – Rajasthan High Court (Jaipur Bench)
• Legal Correspondent – Rajasthan High Court (Jodhpur)

Eligibility:

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree is mandatory for all positions.
• Strong command over written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated interest in legal research, drafting, and court reporting.
• For Legal Correspondent roles: Candidates must be available to cover proceedings in person at the respective High Court (Jaipur Bench or Jodhpur).

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Covering court proceedings and reporting on judicial developments accurately and promptly.
• Conducting in-depth legal research on significant cases and judgments.
• Drafting news articles, case summaries, and legal analysis pieces for the English edition.
• Assisting with the preparation of content for the launch and ongoing operations of the English Legal News Project.
• (For Interns): Supporting senior correspondents with research, drafting, and administrative tasks related to legal reporting.

Duration:

• Legal News Consultant & Legal Correspondent: Full-time, permanent positions.
• Legal Intern: Fixed-term internship (duration to be discussed upon selection).
